6 Basic Tips for a Healthy Heart

I bring you six simple basic tips that will help you maintain a healthy and functional heart. There won’t be need of you complaining of heart related diseases if you practice them diligently.
Here are they:
1.       Eat sea foods- sea foods can restore cardiac efficiency and prolong the life of the heart muscle, and they encourage a steady heart beat. Sea foods have also been shown to stabilize blood pressure, regulate levels of triglycerides, phospholids and cholesterol, they dissolve fatty build-ups in the blood vessels. E.g. of sea food are fish, crab, lobster, crayfish, shrimp, periwinkle, mussel etc.
2.       Eat food rich in beta-carotene: food rich in beta-carotene can cut down your chances of having stroke 40 percent. Foods rich in beta-carotene include carrots, cabbage, winter squash, sweet potatoes, dark leafy greens, apricots, and seaweeds.
3.       Eat garlic- study after study has confirmed garlic’s abilities to lower blood pressure, reduce phospholipids and cholesterol, strengthen heart action, increase immune response, reduce platelet clumping and clotting (thus reduce strokes) and stabilize blood sugar levels. Eat garlic raw or lightly cooked, many cloves a day.
4.       Avoid restrictive diets. I know you probably are watching your weight but frequent dieting, fasting, binging and purging destabilize your electrolytes levels. This comes with the ultimate consequence of weakening the heart muscle thus causing damage to the heart. Maintain a healthy diet and eat as much of whole grains, vegetables, beans, greens, fruits, fish, seeds, and yogurt. Go easy on: nuts, cheese, and milk.
5.       Go for a walk, jump rope, and swim. Or do leg lifts and arm raises from your bed or wheelchair: however you can do it, do it! Regular exercise is important for a healthy heart.
6.       Keep good relationships. Be in the company of people you love and who loves and cares about you. Don’t be in enmity with anybody. This has a way of affecting your mental and physical health.
