According to a report published in dailymail.com,
three-year-old, Roona Begum who isw battling with hydrocephalus has smiled for
the first time after a year of surgery done on her to reduce the size of her
head.
Roona Begum before the surgery |
Roona Begum was taken to Hospital in Gurgaon, on the
outskirt of New Delhi, in April 2013, and after the excess fluid was drained
from her head by neurosurgeons, the surgeons thought that she cannot live for
long.
But here today, even though Roona cannot walk due to
the weight of her head, she can now crawl, eat, sleep and smile. Things she
could not do before the surgery.
Hydrocephalus is the accumulation of fluid in the
brain.
My God. What causes this? Can it be what the mother was eatng before birth or what?
