Toddler with Hydrocephalus smiles for the first time

According to a report published in dailymail.com, three-year-old, Roona Begum who isw battling with hydrocephalus has smiled for the first time after a year of surgery done on her to reduce the size of her head.

 Roona Begum was taken to Hospital in Gurgaon, on the outskirt of New Delhi, in April 2013, and after the excess fluid was drained from her head by neurosurgeons, the surgeons thought that she cannot live for long.

But here today, even though Roona cannot walk due to the weight of her head, she can now crawl, eat, sleep and smile. Things she could not do before the surgery.

Hydrocephalus is the accumulation of fluid in the brain.
